ABCs of Still Life Photography
This is probably the most fun project I’ve ever done for still life or any other genre for that matter. It was intense for sure, but really got me to pondering ideas for still life photography. We photographed a different letter each day (ideally), and shared.
Inspiration for photography can come from a variety of places and things. During February, I joined a number of photographers in participating in a project that centered around the alphabet. We are all members of Kim Klassen's photography forum and she is the person who suggested the project of ABCs of Still Life Photography. Simply put, we were to photograph a subject beginning with each letter of the alphabet. It sounded simple enough, so I joined in anticipating an easy project. Often times, an idea would pop right in to my head. Other times, I had to really search for a suitable subject. I tried to keep with still life for each of my images. But, there is one exception. J just had to be Joy, and what better photo for joy than a beautiful day at the beach.
