Drought to Flood {northern California photographer}

From drought to flood in just a few weeks, northern California is getting what it wished for.  After five years or more of severe drought conditions, flood-gates are open.  Literally.  The dams that were holding back very little water are now wide open and releasing a tremendous amount of water. In fact, the weirs on the rivers are now open, too, and releasing water into farm land to ease the burden on the river levees.

In the first image, the white sign says "No Fishing From Bridge".  Yes, there's a small bridge under all that water. This view is facing north.  The flooded area didn't stop the fishermen from launching their boats from the road leading down from the to of the levee.
