Goodbye November
This particular morning started as most do with a hot cup of coffee, the news, and a scan of Facebook and Instagram. It was quiet since I'm the first one up. The month is winding down and it will soon be time to say ' goodbye November ' and jump into December. So, it was nice to enjoy a quiet morning. When I got up to refill my coffee, I opened the blinds and saw the best thing ever! FOG!I love shooting in fog and I couldn't believe my eyes. Throwing on my cloths as quickly as I could, I grabbed my camera, and out the door I went. I walked down the dirt road that runs along the side of the walnut orchard to the back of our property to the slough. The fog was fantastic! It was thick, yet the sun was making it's way through so it didn't seem gloomy as fog sometimes does. The trees are never more beautiful than when the leaves are this deep, rich yellow. Sadly, it doesn't last very long. Just a couple of days and then they are off the trees and on the ground turning brown. But, this morning - this morning - they were perfection!
I was reminded of Joyce Kilmer's poem.

Goodbye November
Kind of sad to say ' goodbye November ' when she looks as gorgeous as this.
