Hatteras Island, OBX {northern California photographer}

It's so hard to believe I was in North Carolina on Hatteras Island OBX just a year ago. Such good times shooting it up with some photography friends. I'm hoping to go back soon! Here is my post from April of last year: Morning, Day 2, Hatteras Island, NC, the Outer Banks.Hatteras Island, NC is not really a place that was on my bucket list, although I've wanted to spend some time on the coast to work on my landscape photography, I didn't really consider the east coast! When an online friend asked me to join her at her beach house in Hatteras Island along with some other cyber photography friends, I just had to say 'yes'! I did get to meet Jennifer a few months ago after connecting with her on-line several years ago. I don't even remember how we met. It could have been a class or a mutual on-line friend, but I do remember viewing (stalking) her website and loving her beautiful work especially her landscapes. The other two people are friends from on-line classes. I get to communicate with them all regularly. Isn't the internet wonderful?When we decided on dates we were hopeful that the weather would be good and the crowds few. We were lucky with one of those. And, as it turns out the weather proved to be in our favor as well with clouds, fog, wind, and rain always making a scene more dramatic and interesting. These images are from the morning of the first full day on the island. The first pier is the Avon pier and the last is Frisco.
