Lensbaby Burnside | fine art photography
I wrote about the Lensbaby Burnside lens a couple of weeks ago in my post titled Traveling Burnside. As part of the Traveling Burnside project, I was loaned this lens for two weeks to shoot whatever I wanted. Then I had to pass it on to the next person in line for a Canon mount lensbaby lens. Kudos to Keri Friedman with Lensbaby for pulling this project together. From my end, she was attentive to details and quick to respond to my questions and needs. You can see more results from other photographers participating in this project at Traveling Burnside Project.I photographed quite a few flowers with the Lensbaby Burnside 35. Not surprising, as flowers are a favorite subject of mine. Still life and a couple of landscape opportunities seemed right for this lens as well. So, I photographed them too. I found this lens to be super user-friendly and was able to see some favorable results right away. For me, it gives a feeling of stepping right into the image. These images are a bit moodier than my usual. But, I feel like there's some added mystery to them that I really like. I'd love to know your thoughts on these resulting images.
