Red Strawberries | Still Life Photography
A morning browsing the local farmers' market resulted in so many fresh treasures. Red strawberries, an assortment of flowers, fresh biscotti, and some long stemmed garlic are all wonderful inclusions for still life photography. In the words of my friend, Karen, first we shoot, then we eat. And, all the while, we enjoy the fresh flowers.
High Key
When I set out to photograph the strawberries I wanted to convey their freshness and the feeling of summer. Rather than moody, dark, low key images, I went for a somewhat high key technique. High key images are images that are usually very light and bright. They often convey a lighter mood, or are upbeat in nature. Perfect for conveying the freshness of summer fruit.
