Viewpoints: My Sand Harbor View
Welcome once again to our Viewpoints blog circle which focuses on landscapes. This month my view is of Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe in Nevada. As I headed out before sunrise, my expectation was that it would be a sunny, bright day at Lake Tahoe. And, mostly it was until I got down to the basin in which the lake lies. Fog covered the lake. So, the bright images with blue water and blue sky that I anticipated became these. I still think they are beautiful and peaceful while covered in snow. Just not what I expected. I swear. I watch the weather carefully. Nothing was said about fog. I love fog, just didn't anticipate it.
It's a lovely place and I will definitely return another day. Keeping my fingers crossed that there will be snow even in the trees, and a sunny, blue sky.
