Serenity in Sweet Peas | northern California photographer
Welcome once again to our Serenity Blog circle where each member posts images that convey serenity to them. This month I am posting Serenity in Sweet Peas. Various activities nourish us in so many ways. One of those ways for me is macro photography. And, one of my most favorite flowers is Sweet Peas. So, joining them together was just natural after I found these flowers at a local farmers' market. Their perfume is delicious. Yet these were so fragrant I had to roll the window down before I got them home. My car was filled with their sweet smell.
Once I got them home and in my studio, it didn't take any time at all to capture the delicate ruffles of the petals. These were especially pretty with the edges dressed in purple. Backlighting through the window helped isolate their beauty while blurring the background. I love their delicate form. The world seems to stop when I focus on macro photography. That's how I found serenity in sweet peas this month. How do you find serenity in your day? I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas. We can never have too much peace and calm!
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
