Serenity of Water
If you've followed my work and this blog for any length of time, you know that the beach is my happy place. There is just something about the waves, the sounds, and the smells that evoke serenity. Namely, the serenity of water. I know many of you feel the same way about nature. Perhaps the forest is where you find renewal, or maybe in the mountains. But for me, the ocean is what gives me that renewal and peace. However, I don't live at the beach. I'm a couple of hours away. So I find the serenity of water in other ways. On this particular morning as I ventured out to shoot, it was foggy which I love. But I really didn't expect much in the way of photography opportunities. Boy, was I wrong. As the sun rose, the fog began to lift. Since it was early, it was quiet except for a few birds that were softly communicating to one another. And, the most beautiful, serene morning unfolded. On mornings like this, I don't need the renewal of the ocean. The flooded fields are enough to help start the day off right for me.
