Still Life Photography Retreat for Women
Are you ready for a little ME time? That's a question I asked in my last blog post while referring to my still life photography retreat and workshop. And, today I received in my email a random letter explaining WHY that time is so important. Honestly, it doesn't matter what the content of the retreat is. What matters is that you take some time for it. For yourself. Some ME time.
Who takes care of YOU?
To paraphrase that email, you are responsible for you. You take care of your family. You probably have the responsibility of a job, too. Or, maybe you are an empty nester. Maybe you are even retired from your career. You still need some ME time! If you don't take time for yourself, you risk burnout. And, nobody wants to be around a 'cranky' who hasn't taken care of herself.But, who takes care of you if not YOU? Set aside time for yourself and make it non-negotiable. Nutritious food, plenty of sleep, and exercise all contribute to our well-being. The other component of that formula is doing something you enjoy, just for you, away from your everyday responsibilities. If you can find others who enjoy it too, to share that experience, so much the better.
