Sunset in Mendocino | northern California landscape photographer

The summer in the Sacramento Valley has been incredibly hot this year. Usually we have a little bit of a reprieve from the heat from the breeze blowing in through the delta area. It travels from the San Francisco Bay Area east through the delta and finally to the central valley. We consider it to be nature's air conditioner. So, it is always welcome. But this summer, the delta breeze has had a challenge doing it's job. Fortunately for us, we have been able to escape the heat by spending more time on the northern California coast. Whenever we visit, we never miss an opportunity to view the sunset in Mendocino. It's one of our favorite destinations. 

I love driving; driving along the California coastline is the best drive in the world.
