Underexposed Tulips | Tutorial | northern California photographer
Of course, getting the image well exposed and correct in camera is our first goal. NOT like the underexposed tulips in this tutorial! I shoot manual so that I can have complete control over my image. But that is not to say that you cannot get a strong image using Aperture Priority or a different mode. Correct exposure and sharp focus are things that are difficult to correct after the image is taken. I also shoot in RAW so this gives me more options when editing. So just be sure you get it right in camera first. That being said, today I'm showing you how to recover a very badly executed image. It is underexposed and the white balance is off resulting in other issues as well. So when you don't get it right in camera, there are a few things you can do.I took this image in my studio on a very dreary, overcast day. The only light is that which is coming through the windows. My settings were: 1/80 s, f2.2, ISO 1600
