Blueberries | northern California Fine Art photographer
Recently known for their antioxidant qualities, blueberries have become more popular as their availability has increased. Mixed with yogurt (and a few walnuts!), in a smoothie, in blueberry pie, or dripping down a stack of pancakes, I cannot think of a way in which I wouldn't like to eat them. Adding them for a still life shoot with a few of my other favorite things, they make an engaging subject. Blueberries. Linen. Silver. Aged wood. Another edible subject that I'll enjoy later maybe in a salad or on hot oatmeal or in muffins or... well, you get the idea. So many ways to enjoy this nutritious fruit.
You ought to have seen what I saw on my way To the village, through Mortenson's pasture to-day: Blueberries as big as the end of your thumb, Real sky-blue, and heavy, and ready to drum In the cavernous pail of the first one to come! And all ripe together, not some of them greenAnd some of them ripe! You ought to have seen!
