Several summers ago was a whirlwind. And, it all started with a trip to North Carolina to visit and photograph with my friends Kathy Roberts and Jennifer Carr. Kathy opened her beautiful home to us and created a photographer's dream schedule for us beginning with Roan Mountain on our first full day there.
Tulips Galore | Don’t Mind the Mud
As I approached the fields upon fields of tulips, I was completely amazed. The landscape full of tulips seemed to go on forever; as far as I could see. Clearly these tulip fields had been well planned and certainly well cared for. But, the surprising thing to me was that they didn't appear to be commercial production. They appeared to be for the sole enjoyment of those who were fortunate enough to visit. Me being one of those lucky people!
Exploring Redwood National Park | fine art photography landscape
Late May and early June are the months in which the rhododendrons bloom in the Redwood National Park in northern California. So, a few years ago we planned accordingly and made our way there in early June.
