Project 365, 2022, Week 23
One of the benefits to shooting everyday is that I am forced to deal with various sources of light. It could be cloudy, bright sun, or golden light coming from different directions depending on the subject and the source of the light. In this Project 365, 2022, Week 23, I had shade, back light, bright sun, and wonderful golden hour light. I used different lenses to achieve the look I wanted for each given subject. If you really want to learn your camera and photography, I cannot recommend a Project 365 enough. It is a fabulous learning tool.
Good, Bad & Ugly
Are all of my images great or ‘bangers’? Of course not. Most of them I wouldn’t normally share except they are part of the project - good and not so good. But, surprisingly, I do get some wonderful images that I would not otherwise have. Plus, the images I don’t really love, I take extra time with editing them to sort of create ‘something out of nothing’. Learning to photograph intentionally and do it day after day has its challenges and its rewards.

I love how the blue in the butterfly brings out the blue in the flowers.
If you want to improve your photography with a good challenge, try a 365 project. They do take a lot of time. For improvement, you need to be intentional, edit, and I recommend posting on a blog or social media. It keeps me motivated when I know that others are aware I’m doing a 365.

Somehow these postings for my Project 365 seem to have gotten away from me and I am so far behind. But, I decided to post a few each week until I’m caught up with shooting. Full disclosure - I did not finish this project. I began traveling and other things filled in the time that I would have been working on this. So, again, I’m clustering a few together in order to get caught up since I’m months behind in sharing.
